Light Paper Promo Book

The Light paper promotion book showcases paper from Neenah. It is intended to be given as a sample for anyone considering using this type of paper for their company project or client’s needs. By allowing the designer to see the paper in action, it allows them to examine it and determine whether or not it would be the right paper for their project.

The Topic

Because paper promotion books are commonly used for designers, I chose a topic for the book that is pertinent to artists and creative learning. Light matters in every field of art. It influences our emotions, changes our perspectives, or leads us to think about something a certain way. This book displays ways that light is manipulated in three different fields: architecture, photography, and cinematography. While showcasing the paper and how it treats die cuts and foiling, I wanted to create an engaging read for any creative.

Special Finishes

Silver and white foil is used throughout the book to create movement and also to reflect the dynamism of light.

"By day, light envelops us with its steady and constant touch. Light's reverse side, shadow, provides the other critical half of the equation. Together they contribute to our better understanding of the cosmos, quasars, and everything in between."

Surprise & Delight

The book contains a pocket that has a saddle-stitched booklet containing perforated bookmarks. Each bookmark has die cuts that relate to the quote printed on each one. Finding elements such as this surprise and delight the reader.
