FALL 2019

The FF Scala Sans typeface was designed in 1993 by Martin Majoor and is a part of the Monotype foundry. Originally it was designed for the Vredenburg Music Center, which is a concert hall in Utrecht, Netherlands. But now it is used in a wide variety of venues and publications because of its versatility.

The typeface derives its name “scala” from a famous theater in Milan, Italy commonly referred to as “La Scala”.

Because of this, I themed this poster and associated type specimen booklet around music.
